During the Media Architecture Biennale I initiated a workshop on Responsive Urban Lighting. During the one day workshop the participants  developed, fine-tuned and tested and different interactive lighting scenarios. The workshop addresses questions such as: How can we design responsive lighting behaviours for public spaces? and To what extent does responsive urban lighting affect our experience of architecture as well as our social relations ? The final outcome was  displayed in the city of Aarhus and thereby turned the public space into an ‘urban laboratory’ while allowing the participants to observe and evaluate social, aesthetic and energy related qualities of different responsive lighting designs.
