Environmental Response 2 from Esben B. Skouboe on Vimeo.

As part of my research at Aalborg University, I had the privilege of working with a team of skilled programmers, engineers, and architects to elaborate on the initial findings from the workshop “Environmental Response.” The result was a responsive wall segment capable of sensing and responding to internal and external environmental stimuli. There is a dimension of aesthetics in the design of response patterns for control systems – this social dimension talks the body language.

The concepts was published in the following publications:

Foged IW. & Poulsen ES. “Environmental Feedback and Spatial Conditioning” (2010) ACADIA 2010 Life In:Formation : On Responsive Information and Variations in Architecture, New York, USA
